The Prevention Think Tank, Inc.
A Prevention Association for
the Times in which We LiveThe Prevention Think Tank, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization devoted to the
advancement of prevention as a profession. We accomplish this through collaboration
with prevention professionals in research and practice organizations. Our goal is to
identify and address priorities for the field.
The
association’s strategies include:
- Communication and Prevention Advocacy - This currently consists of an automated
mailing list, bulletin board, on-line chat room, providing education to prevention and
community leaders, sharing position papers, and dissemination of topical information on
key issues, decisions and legislation.
- Prevention Professional Development -
Prevention Think Tank provides
training and technical assistance to support workforce development and advancement of the
field. Training is available for host organizations to provide to their staff and members
as well as for individuals.
Prevention Mentoring and Coaching - Modeled after other successful prevention
fellowship programs, our multi-disciplinary network of prevention professionals are
dedicated to providing advice, consultation, and technical assistance in navigating
through the professional landscape.
Emerging Issues - Prevention Think Tank offers a venue for the exchange and
exploration of new ideas and implications for the field.
